What Does an Arts Camp Counsellor Do?

Help facilitate Kids on Stage, and Kids in the Art Studio camps. Arts Camp Counsellors assist visual and performing arts instructors facilitate week long camp sessions for youth aged 6 to 12 years.

Assist with structured activities in performing and visual arts during camp sessions, help with set-up and maintenance of camp rooms, and lead unstructured games during break time.

It’s a full week of activities and fun, ending in a performance or exhibit highlighting camp projects worked on during the week.

We also need camp volunteers that are experienced in photography, have their own camera equipment to document the camp experience and are familiar with design, and design software.

Arts Camp Counsellors must be able to commit to a training and orientation session, prior to camp. Arts Camp Counsellors typically volunteer for one week in July, from Monday to Friday, from 830 am until 430 pm, in their chosen week.
