Early Bird Subscription 2017/2018
Dear theatre lover,
We are approaching the end of another Theatre Series here at Evergreen Cultural Centre and that can only mean one thing… the launch of a whole new Theatre Series! I have been working furiously putting together next year’s series and am happy to announce the following shows for our 2017/2018 season!
- END OF THE RAINBOW (Ace Productions) – A musical drama about Judy Garland’s latter days in London. By Peter Quilter, starring Janet Gigliotti as Judy Garland.
- MOM’S THE WORD 3 – Nest ½ Empty (Arts Club on Tour) – From the world-renowned creative team behind the Mom’s the Word series comes a new chapter in their stories of family and fracas.
- Stephen King’s MISERY (Arts Club on Tour) – Misery follows successful romance novelist Paul Sheldon, who is rescued from a car crash by his “Number One Fan,” Annie Wilkes, and wakes up captive in her secluded home.
- ONEGIN (Arts Club on Tour) – Based on the poem by Pushkin and the opera by Tchaikovsky, Onegin is a passionate new musical and winner of 10 Jessie awards.
Continuing on the popularity of last year, we are once again offering the extraordinary Early Bird Subscription to all of you, our loyal patrons. From now until May 13, you can get a full season subscription for only $189* – a discount of 25% from regular ticket prices, meaning that you will see one show for free!
You may be wondering what the FULL Theatre Series will look like before subscribing. Well, we can’t announce that just yet, the pieces are still falling into place for the rest of next season. But if you take a Leap of Faith with us, we can guarantee you’ll laugh, you’ll cry and you’ll get the best entertainment outside of Downtown Vancouver.
If you’re looking for the best value, add on the Indie Series (4-shows) to your Theatre Series (6-shows). Returning this year are two favorites – Lucas Myers with Campground: A Murder Mystery in the Woods, and Beverly Elliott, a frequent performer at the Evergreen, returns with Sink or Swim which was ‘Pick of the Fringe’ in 2016. Add on the Indie Series to your Theatre Series and you’re practically stealing from us!
And to encourage you to subscribe early, renew your subscription before March 31 and you will be entered to win one of the umbrellas hanging in the lobby (to be collected at the end of the season after the umbrella installation is dismantled!)
Looking forward to another great season of theatre.
David Mann, Performing Arts Manager
