The Evergreen is proud to participate once again in National Canadian Film Day (NCFD)! This year we will be screening MEDITATION PARK, a film starring Sandra Oh, shot in Vancouver and featured in the Toronto Film Festival. This year’s programming spotlight is on the accomplishments of women in Canadian film.
Meditation Park is a 2017 Canadian drama film directed by Mina Shum. It was screened in the Contemporary World Cinema section at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival. The film also stars Sandra Oh and Don McKellar. It debuted to positive reviews at the Toronto International Film Festival and will be opening in theatres on March 9, 2018.

What is NCFD?
NCFD celebrates Canada and the achievements of our cinematic storytellers because, frankly, we think the films are great, and it’s clear that Canadians agree. Last year’s sesquicentennial edition was the World’s Largest Film Festival (Ever) and hundreds of screening partners are returning to keep the NCFD party going.
Watch our promo spot for this year’s NCFD. We think it will surprise you. Visit canadianfilmday.ca for more information leading up to April 18. You can also find us on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram: @REELCANADA, @CanFilmDay, and #CanFilmDay.
