The Improv Program is for students who love improv, want to grow and be challenged as performers, and ultimately have fun on stage. Improv teaches you how to react and think quicker, listen at a deeper level, express yourself creatively through performance and work off the ideas of others. In these classes students will learn the tricks to new and classic improv games, create imaginary worlds and memorable characters, tell jokes and stories on the spot, and learn how to collaborate with a group of silly people in improvised scenes. This year, students will have the opportunity to perform twice per term in front of a live audience of family and friends.
Note: These classes are ongoing, and it is common for students to continue training and register for every session. Jennifer tailors the class to the group and ensures every performer can be pushed to their next level. It is highly recommended that new students take the Free Improv Class on October 11, 2016 in order to be more comfortable on the first day.
