Westminster Savings Family Days
Saturday, October 15, 1-4pm
Westminster Savings Family Days will be presented on nine Saturday afternoons over the course of the 2016/2017 season. The program is designed to bring families together around the arts with an information and entertaining drop-in program of hands-on activities that will build an appreciation of the arts.
The program is presented for all ages and is FREE through the support of Westminster Savings.
All events occur on Saturdays and are 1:00 – 4:00 unless otherwise listed.

Miniature Miniature Theatre Theatre
Take in the exhibition Theatre Theatre then take up your own imaginative ideas to make a miniature theatre of your own. Decorate your theatre and set the stage for your fingers to act out your theatrical masterpiece. Didn’t the Bard write: “All the world’s a stage, and all the fingers merely players.”

Two Stories to Every Side
Everybody knows that there are two sides to every piece of paper. Work together to make two pictures, one for each side. Then, hang it on your wall at home in the special 2-sided frame provided – pick a side, then the other.

All that Jingles and Some that Jangle
Music? Noise? How does some musical noise sound this festive season? Play around with some baubles and bells to create your own music maker suitable for accompanying sing-alongs with family and friends. Make it then shake it.

Fifty years ago for Canada’s Centennial, hundreds of public art commissions were made across the country. Think back fifty years, what would your Centennial Sculpture have looked like.
