Part of our full season, our 2022/23 TD Music Series offers a wide range of genres, including classical, contemporary, bluegrass, folk, blues, and more to provide a robust series of concerts for music lovers of all ages and styles.

We are back to our pre-pandemic levels of events and exhibitions, and single tickets go on sale July 01!

RAINE HAMILTON STRING TRIO

October 30, 2022 | 7:30pm

Resonant, acoustic chamber folk with an otherworldly edge, and a lyric presence that cuts deep. Prism-clear vocals + strings. Anchored in the ancient mountains, reaching out beyond the earthly. Raine invites the love of the violin into the singer-songwriter genre, writing for violin and voice, as well as for guitar and voice. Joined by cello and upright bass, expect string arrangements that push and pull, that move as they console.

BLACK UMFOLOSI

Zimbabwe’s greatest ambassadors, performing music inspired by the traditional song and dance of their native Southern Africa, with a beauty and enthusiasm that is unrivalled. The group have become firm favourites around the world with people of all ages and cultures, due to their natural ability to communicate, passion and feeling in their performances. roup represents some of the largest cultural communities in BC, very few projects feature such collaborations.

QuiRING IN THE NEW YEAR 2023

Ring in the New Year with us! Our annual NYE event with Reg Quiring and Rosemary O’Connor is back. Featuring special guests, a full night of classical music, and a champagne reception, this event is a great way to connect with other music lovers.

AN EVENING WITH THE WARDENS

January 22, 2023 | 7:30pm

With haunting three-part harmonies and chilling tales, the band’s mountain music – blending folk, roots and western styles – reflects Canada’s protected wilderness areas. Celebrating the return of wild buffalo, wrangling grizzly bears, lonely nights on the packtrail and reflecting on an environment in crisis. As much like an evening of stories around a campfire on a dark night, the band’s original Folk/Americana acoustic songs are preceded by masterfully crafted tales.

ROOTS & GROVES: RICK SCOTT AND NICO RHODES

January 29, 2023 | 7:30pm

Forty years apart in age, veteran folk artist and brilliant young keyboard ace join forces in an inter-generational alchemy of roots, blues and jazz. Rick Scott and Nico Rhodes blur all boundaries. In a word, they cook! ROOTS & GROOVES is a multi-genre conversation across generations, combining Appalachian mountain dulcimer, piano, vocals and humour in a lively alchemy of musical mastery, mischief and merriment.

SUSIE MCGREGOR & FRIENDS

February 11, 2023 | 7:30pm

Born and raised in Port Coquitlam, Susie McGregor has spent her life on stage with Country Music road bands, Saddlerock, Wild Frontier, The Thrillbillies, and the Susie McGregor Band. Joined by professional musician friends from Vancouver Island and the Tri-Cities, come enjoys songs from Patsy Cline to Adele, and original music from her albums Something Real and Tartan, with some new songs too!

DIYET & THE LOVE SOLDIERS

FEBRUARY 26, 2023 | 7:30pm

Forty years apart in age, veteran folk Diyet is alternative country, folk, roots and traditional with catchy melodies and stories deeply rooted in Diyet’s Indigenous world view and northern life. Diyet sings in both English and Southern Tutchone (her native language) and plays bass guitar. Backed by Love Soldiers, Diyet is joined by husband and collaborator, Robert van Lieshout (acoustic guitar, drums & percussion) and Juno Award winning producer, Bob Hamilton (electric guitar, pedal steel & mandolin).

OKTOPUS: CRÉATURE

MARCH 03, 2023 | 7:30pm

Oktopus is a major presence on the Canadian world music scene, primarily devoted to klezmer and distinguished by a novel approach that incorporates various components of the classical and Quebecois repertoire, with some jazz and Balkan accents. The eight virtuoso musicians offer festive, highenergy performances, at once melancholic and profound, sprinkled with humour and spiced with narrative.

JOHN REISCHMAN & THE JAYBIRDS

MARCH 26, 2023 | 7:30pm

Like the powerful mandolinist and composer at its helm, John Reischman and the Jaybirds fashion a stylish take on bluegrass that seamlessly blends original songs and instrumentals with Appalachian old-time music for a truly unique band sound. Now in their 20th year, with seven acclaimed albums and two Juno nominations, the Jaybirds are simultaneously innovative and unadorned, sophisticated and stripped-down, happily old-fashioned and 21st-century contemporary.

KRYSTLE DOS SANTOS

APRIL 01, 2023 | 7:30pm

Krystle Dos Santos is an extraordinary blues, jazz and soul singer based out of Vancouver, Canada. With a voice that is commanding, powerful and rich with talent, her music, inspired by classic and neo-soul combined with contemporary hip-hop and R&B elements is executed brilliantly; It’s simultaneously elegant, bold and sensual. Her performances are mesmerizing; She sings with sheer heart wrenching dominion about falling in love, heartbreak and struggle.

MEAGAN & AMY

APRIL 22, 2023 | 7:30pm

In search of a classical Canadian musical identity that engages listeners from all backgrounds, the duo meagan&amy explores connections between several Canadian compositions and works from the traditional canon of classical repertoire. Their program pairs Canadian composers including a recently commissioned piece by Jocelyn Morlock with well-known icons such as Mozart that influenced these contemporary composers

DON VAPPIE & JAZZ CREOLE

MAY 14, 2023 | 7:30pm

Led by Don Vappie, the award-winning Creole banjoist/vocalist from New Orleans. Vappie is a living embodiment of 300 years of New Orleans music embodying all aspects of the unique melting pot of cultures that is New Orleans. Known for being banjoist/guitarist in Winton Marsalis’ Jazz at the Lincoln Centre band, but more importantly his nurturing approach to Creole culture and its preservation. He is widely considered to be one of the best banjoists in the history of New Orleans.
