CHRISTIAN MUSICAL JOINS ORIGINAL SONGS, STELLAR MUSICIANS, SINGERS AND DANCERS TOGETHER IN A SPECTACULAR NEW FAITH INSPIRED SHOW!
The promise of a new heaven and a new earth is at the heart of a soul-awakening new Christian event, Forever and Ever, The Christian Musical. It’s live onstage at the Evergreen Cultural Centre in Coquitlam, BC on Thursday, November 29, 2018. Featuring an original score by Thomas Hogge and the talents of some of Canada’s finest stage and studio musicians, Forever and Ever, The Christian Musical will bring audiences to their feet.
Tracing the 4000 year journey of the great hope of Christian faith through original songs performed by the show’s 12-member The New Jerusalem Project Band, Forever and Ever, The Christian Musical springs from the creative and spiritual vision of composer/director and pianist Thomas Hogge. A top tier team of professional musicians, vocalists, dancers and visual effects artists brings Hogge’s original genre-rich and beautifully arranged score to the stage. “It’s been an incredible journey bringing all the talent — singers, dancers, musicians, visual artists — and the show’s message of faith and love together,” Thomas says about the musical’s six-year creative development journey.
The New Jerusalem Project Band brings together bassist Miles Foxx Hill (co-producer), Vancouver based singer/musician Tom Arntzen on keyboards and vocals and guitarists Olaf DeShield and Tim Porter; all with decades of live touring and studio experience across Canada. DeShield also contributes on rock-styled vocals along with singers Laura Doyle, Ashley Tendesai and Keith Bennett. Together they bring a wealth of gospel, jazz and Latin vocal experience to the mix. Drummer Phil Robertson has played with major artists over a 25 year career including Michael Buble. Rounding out The New Jerusalem Project Band is the stellar horn section, with seasoned saxophonist Steve Hilliam (Colin James Band), the award-winning Vince Mai on trumpet and much sought-after trombonist Rod Murray.
