Silas Ng: Music in My Eyes
Vancouver-based artist Silas Ng has been fascinated with classical music since childhood. He explores movement, vibration and the visual experience of music through his series “Music in My Eyes” (2020-). Working from his experience as a Deaf artist, Ng photographs performances of quick, energetic gestures and the long draw of the bow across the strings to demonstrate how “volume can be shown through action.”  This installation is part of the 2024 Capture Photography Festival Selected Exhibition Program.

What story does a pathway tell? How do paths connect us? Paths features artwork by Canadian artists exploring paths, both real and imagined, through the mediums of painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, collage and printmaking.  Paths is organized and circulated by Artists for Kids & the Gordon Smith Gallery and curated by Amelia Epp.
