Snappy rhythms, swanky jams and cool vibes all around. Come visit Evergreen in June as our Rehearsal Hall gets transformed into an old school, vintage jazz club. The experience includes cabaret seating, a fully-functional bar and a Jazz Trio performing in a chill, classy, prohibition-era-like speakeasy ambience.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Bonnie Northgraves | Bonnie is a trumpet player, vocalist and pianist based in Vancouver BC. Drawn to vintage jazz at an early age she performs music from the 20’s, 30’s and 40’s as well as composes her own original music in the vintage style. Her singing is smokey and rich and her trumpet playing is a call to the early jazz styles of New Orleans. Bonnie has released two albums “Between Then and Now” (2019), and “Welcome to Trashland” (2021) and one EP “Bonnie Northgraves and the Brown Sugar Bears”(2020)

James Dekker | James Dekker is a pianist and saxophonist based in Vancouver B.C. He attended the Capilano University Jazz Studies program and performed with such notable performers as Donny McCaslin, Maria Schneider, Ambrose Akinmusire, Dee Daniels and many others. He is able to cross multiple genres of music from classical, to jazz, to pop. 

Marcus Abramzik | Marcus Abramzik is a bassist, producer and composer based out of Coquitlam B.C. He has performed extensively throughout North America, Europe, and parts of Asia over his time as a bassist, and has performed in many genres of music from pop, jazz, country, fusion, indie rock, Rock n Roll and classical. Marcus is currently recording his debut solo record of his own compositions, which is slated to be released in late 2023.
