SUSIE MCGREGOR | Born and raised in Port Coquitlam, Susie McGregor has spent her life on stage with Country Music road bands, Saddlerock, Wild Frontier, The Thrillbillies, Susie McGregor Band, you may have seen her in an ABBA Tribute and/or Adele Tribute, heard radio singles  ”3000 miles” , “I Can’t Hold On” and/or “16 For A While”, or seen her on tour with Dan Hill.

Susie’s music journey started in the late 80’s as the winner of the first PNE talent search. This provided her with her first opportunity to record an original song in a professional recording studio and a music video to accompany the recording. After this experience Susie worked at several musical theatre dinner shows including Maz and me” and Crackers to hone her singing and stage skills, before going on the road” with a variety of country bands. After several years on the road, recording songs and performing across Western Canada, Susie recorded her first album on Vancouver Island called “Something Real”. In 1998 Susie and her band, went across Canada on a radio/ warm feet tour to promote the album and the single 3000 miles. They gave away 3000 pairs of branded Susie McGregor socks and met many amazing people along the way. In Eastern Canada Susie fell in love with Celtic music and was inspired to record her next CD “Tartan”. While recording Tartan, Susie and her team formed a record company (Highland Music) to record and promote other talented Island artists. The first compilation CD called Jewels of the Island hit the shelves in 1999, followed by Jewels of the Island 2 (2006) and Jewels of the Island 3 (2008).

Throughout her career Susie has always created singing contest to give other singers the same encouragement and opportunities that she received and appreciated. In 2007 Highland Music created and produced an Island wide singing contest called “Valley Idol”. Over the next ten years in addition to Valley Idol, Highland Music created and produced yearly music business conferences (VIMBC) , song-writing workshops , and The Great Canadian Song Race. The Great Canadian Song Race was a project that involved helping song -writers co-write a song with feedback from top music professionals, record the song, and collaboratively create a business plan for said song. Susie continued to play live at a variety of festivals and theatres and public houses as well as providing singing lessons, mentoring, and managing other artists. In 2011 through 2013, Susie had the great honour of touring with the Canadian Superstar,Dan Hill, performing duets including “Can’t we Try” and “How I feel” amongst others.

In 2017, Highland music was dissolved, and a new music company call Sincerely Susie was created. Sincerely Susie is a publishing company that facilitates live music events, contests, conferences, workshops and provides mentoring and networking opportunities to artists of all ages. Susie has moved back to her hometown of Port Coquitlam and continues to perform live, teach, and produce music events. She is also proud to have a co-write on Mother Mothers newest album “Inside” called “ The Knack”.  Over the last few years, she has been working closely with the amazing team at the Evergreen Cultural Centre. Susie is excited to be the newest member of the Long and McQuade teaching team.
