Hybrid Horticulture: Gallery Tour & Print-making Activity
Come and explore the many creative meanings of flowers. Take a tour in the gallery and then create your own hybrid horticulture. Draw a new flower from your imagination, and use it as the inspiration for a print-making activity that you can share with your friends and family. This activity is best suited for ages 7 and up.
Sunday, October 25th
Session 1 | from 1:30-3:00pm
Session 2 | from 3:30-5:00pm
Participants can book a table to attend with 2 – 4 people in their family or social bubble. There will be a maximum of 16 participants per session. This event starts outdoors (weather permitting) by our outdoor exhibition artworks, and then continues indoors in areas with good ventilation.
In the exhibition Arrangements, artists delve into the many meanings attributed to cut flowers, gardens and wild plants to reveal how flowers act as surrogates for all kinds of ideas. The artworks in the exhibition go beyond ideas of beauty to take an unexpected look at this familiar floral subject matter. Learn More about our latest exhibition here.
